RegKeeper - e-Sales Tracking Software

Auto-Keys Module

The Auto-Keys Module is designed in order to automate task of sending registration keys to customers by their request. Read on to see how it works:

  1. The customer sends an e-mail in a special format to a specified e-mail address. *
  2. RegKeeper analyzes incoming e-mails and filters them using the rules created in the Auto-Keys Module settings.
  3. RegKeeper extracts the user, product and order data from the e-mail and tries to locate the required order.
  4. Using the behavior rules defined in the Auto-Keys key generation settings, RegKeeper decides whether to generate a new registration code. **
  5. 1.If specified, Regkeeper sends an e-mail message to the customer containing the necessary information.

* The Auto-Keys e-mail must use the following format:

  Firstname=<Customer First Name>
  MiddleName=<Customer Middle Name>
  LastName=<Customer Last Name>
  Email=<Customer E-mail address>
  ProductID=<Product Identifier>
  ProductName=<Name of Product>
  TransactionID=<Transaction ID>
  OrderDate=<Order Date>

Not all fields are required. If a TransactionID field is available, RegKeeper will locate the order directly using this field. It is enough to transfer only customer e-mail to detect the customer. Either ProductID or ProductName can be used to detect the product.

** RegKeeper will generate a registration code in the following cases (depending on the settings in Auto-Keys key generation settings):

In other cases RegKeeper will use either a registration code that has already been generated, or it will ignore the request.

When you click on the menu Tools | Auto-Keys Regkeeper will open the Auto-Keys Module window which contains the list of e-mail messages received by the Auto-Keys Module. Column Result shows the result of email message processing. The Message body ffield shows the body of the e-mail message that has been received.
